Paul Cook

Owner/Head Honcho,
The Big Kahuna

Paul has been a barber for 30 years, a journey that began with his dad teaching him how to cut hair and encouraging him to pursue barbering as a profession. Paul has loved every minute of his career, finding great joy in seeing young boys grow up in his chair and later bringing their own sons in for haircuts. These full-circle moments are among the many rewards that make his life rich. Paul enjoys the variety his work brings, appreciating the unique challenges of each client’s hair, and has never grown tired of his craft. Speaking of craft, truth be told, he finds the barbershop an excellent place to craft and tell his tales to a captive audience. You may hear the same story twice after a while. But you might not recognize it anymore.

Outside the barbershop, Paul spends his time with cattle and horses, finding peace and connection out on the range. Riding a good horse and working alongside his kids in the open country is a cherished tradition, passed down from his dad and brothers.

Paul enjoys working on all types of haircuts and especially loves when a client is thrilled with their new look. That said, he’s hoping bowl cuts don’t make a comeback anytime soon! At Cook’s Barbershop, Paul also offers a special tradition—a baby boy’s first haircut is always free. He looks forward to welcoming new and returning customers to the shop.
